Theme Breakdown
ultralight was originally designed as the default theme for a StepMania fork called "StepMania Frankencode", which eventually became sm-ssc. ultralight split off way before that point, however.
It should be noted that ultralight's license (or rather, a lack of, as it's been placed into the Public Domain) allows it to be used for whatever purpose you like.
Overall
ultralight is designed to have a very low impact on memory.

Not much to write about here; a pretty standard music selection screen.
Player Options
ultralight's player options fall back on the fallback theme's setup.
Gameplay
Most of the information on the Gameplay screen is at the top, though the current BPM and your player options are on the bottom.

Evaluation shows you the percentage breakdown of your judgments, but is pretty standard otherwise.
